Simple ideas for looking good

Mindful design does not just start and finish with your home. There are helpful rules to follow that can also improve the way you dress and present yourself to the world. The same principles follow. Your clothes need to look good, but they also need to work hard for you. Spend money on investment pieces and update with the key items of the season. Set yourself a budget, plan your purchases and shop in the stores that suit you best. Work out the style that enhances your figure and stick to it. There is a difference to being stylish and being in fashion. They are not the same. You can still follow the trends but know the ones to avoid. By planning your wardrobe carefully, you can avoid expensive mistakes, and spend your money wisely. We often fall into the trap of purchasing the same item of clothing again and again because we are comfortable with it.

With careful planning you can identify the items that are missing from your wardrobe rather than repeat buy. Increasingly we are under pressure to move away from throw away fashion, spending little, often, on clothes that don’t last. Instead it is far better to buy less frequently, but, buy quality. The old adage, ‘you get what you pay for’ is usually true. Let’s all fall back in love with the clothes we already have and find a way to revive them. Initially it is helpful to take advice. Through consultations I can review the clothes you already have, throw out those clothes that don’t and never will suit your shape, and identify the missing items that will create an easy to follow, stylish, capsule wardrobe. This way you can make it much easier to select your clothes on a daily basis and keep your shopping time to a minimum. A stress-free way to dress which will give you added confidence.
